Inventory Made Simple: Items, Opening Stock, Adjustments and Warehouses
Keep live, accurate stock across shops and godowns — and never oversell again.
Stock is usually the biggest asset on a trader's books, and the easiest to lose track of. ManagerBhai updates it automatically from every purchase, sale, return, production run and transfer.
Set up items properly
Under Inventory → View Items, give each item a clear name, a code or barcode, a unit, and its purchase and sale prices. Use Type, Color and Packing Unit to organise large catalogues — e.g. a fabric item in several colours sold by the meter or by the roll.
Opening stock
Enter what you physically have on your start date in Inventory → Opening Stock, with quantities and cost. This is the base every later movement builds on.
Daily movements happen by themselves
- Purchase bill → stock in.
- Sales invoice or POS sale → stock out.
- Returns → reversed.
- Production → raw materials out, finished goods in.
Stock issues and adjustments
Use Stock Issues when goods leave for internal use, and Stock Adjustments after a physical count, damage or expiry. Each adjustment is costed and posted to your books.
More than one location
Create shops and godowns in Inventory → Warehouses and move goods with Warehouse Transfers. Items Stock shows quantity per location.
Reports that matter
Items Stock for what you have now, the Consumption Report for what was used, and Stock Reconciliation to compare system stock against your count. The item-wise ledger in Reports shows every movement of a single item.
